Michele Conti, Founder

Michele is a Tax and Estate Planning Attorney and Founder of Conti Law. She concentrates on Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Special Needs Trusts, Guardianship, Post-Litigation Planning and Personal Injury Settlement Planning. Michele also focuses on advanced planning strategies for clients to shelter assets from long-term health care, potential tax matters, guardianship and gifting consequences.

Michele received her LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law, her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law, her B.A. in Political Science and Writing from Allegheny College and Oxford University.

As a western Pennsylvania Estate Planning Attorney, Michele can help you plan for your future by confirming that your documents are properly drafted and up to date with the most recent law changes; assist you with obtaining Medicaid and VA benefits, and walk a loved one through probating your will, settling your trust and filing the necessary tax returns. Michele has worked at Meyer, Unkovic, and Scott, as well as Shields and Boris in the past and in 2016, started her own practice, focusing solely on estate planning, tax and elder law.

She can be heard as a featured speaker and expert on Biz Burgh Radio channels FM 101.5, FM 96.5 and AM 730.

Michele is happily married to Jason Conti, has twins, Zachary and Zoey, and two dogs: Duke and Lola.

Corrie Knabe, Senior Estate Administration Paralegal

Corrie has been in the legal field for nearly 15 years as a paralegal.  She holds a Paralegal Certificate with Boston University as well as a legal secretary certificate from Sawyer Business School.  She also has several years experience in customer service so she knows how to deal with people in a friendly manner.  She is very compassionate which can help navigate people through their hardest times.

Corrie enjoys spending time with her family, going on vacations and the outdoors.  She has been married for 16 years and has two sons, Tyler and Trent.

Angela Martin, Operations and Marketing Specialist

Angela comes from a Banking and customer service background with a total of 11 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Communications from Edinboro (PennWest) University. Most recently, Angela worked with Moon Township Senior Connection engaging with the 55+ community.  She is outgoing, driven, and looks forward to helping clients any way that she can.

Angela loves spending time with her husband, Josh Martin, and her three German Shepherds- Ava, Gitche, and Axel.

Kasey Duran, Estate Planning Paralegal

Having recently returned to the legal profession after prioritizing her role as a stay-at-home parent, Kasey brings a unique blend of academic achievements and practical experience to her new role. She holds an Associate’s degree in Specialized Business-Paralegal Studies from Bradford Business School and a Bachelors of Science in Science & Technology Legal Studies from California University of Pennsylvania. Kasey’s extensive customer service background provides a solid foundation as she ventures back into the legal field.

Outside of her position at Conti Law, Kasey owns and operates her own home-based business, Autumn Lane Handmade. When she isn’t working, she is spending time with her husband, Sam and two children, Ayla and Lucas. Her family lives on a farm with 3 dogs, 1 cat, chickens, cows, pigs, sheep and their adored mini-donkey, Olive.

Jason Conti, Estate Administration Service Specialist

Jason has recently begun his foray in the legal profession. He works with Decedent’s families helping settle their loved one’s estates by working with creditors and negotiating debts.

Having grown up in the City of Pittsburgh, Jason attended Rosedale Technical College and worked as a diesel mechanic for more than a decade. Jason is married to his wife, Michele, and enjoys spending time fishing with his 10-year-old twins, Zach and Zoey.

Kristin McManus, Client Intake Specialist

Kristin has over 7 years’ experience in the legal field as an administrative assistant and many more in customer service which makes her a key employee at Conti Law as she truly makes our clients feel at home. She enjoys the daily interaction and personal stories shared, and is quite organized, making her a great fit for the front office. Growing up in Beaver County, she attended the Community College of Beaver County graduating Magna Cum Laude with an associate degree in Fine Art. She won second place in the Hayden Purchase Prize at the Evening of the Arts show for best painting.

Kristin enjoys spending time with her friends, going to concerts, painting, and cooking. She also recently received her mixology degree. She currently resides in Harmony Township with her husband, Conner, her puppy, Hershey, and her 2 cats, Lily and Zoey.

Blake

Blake Birchmeier, Associate Attorney

Blake is a practicing Attorney in the areas of Business, Estate Planning & Administration, Trusts, Elder Law, Nonprofit Law, and Transactional Real Estate matters.  He finds satisfaction in the law by helping both individuals and families plan for and navigate through the unexpected events of life.  Blake received his J.D. from the Claude W. Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University in 2017 and a B.A. in History, with a minor in Public History and Museum Studies, from Ohio Northern University in 2014.  Blake is a licensed Attorney both in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Ohio.  Since 2019, he has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Greene County, Pennsylvania, and currently serves as the Chair of the organization’s Marketing & Development Committee, as well as a member of the Governance Committee.

Blake is an avid golfer and enjoys spending his time with his loving wife, Elissa, and their fluffy cat Sasha.  He is also the loving son, brother, and uncle to his wonderful family that reside in Ohio.
